Product Description Experience confidence with each cut. The Henckels International CLASSIC 7" Bread Knife boasts a strong serrated blade that handily cuts through hard bread crusts. Enjoy neat slices of sourdough and cubes of Ciabatta thanks to the blade's aggressively long prongs. High-quality German stainless steel strengthens this durable, Spanish-made knife. With a seamless transition from blade to handle, the knife's fully forged construction provides balance as the traditional triple-rivet handle encourages tireless cutting. Henckels International makes essential kitchen tools every home chef needs. From steak knives to spatulas, every product boasts high quality at an exceptional value. Created in 1895 by Zwilling J.A. Henckels, this value-driven brand guarantees the same durability, design and ease of use for which the global company is known. Equip your kitchen with expertise with Henckels International. Amazon.com A crusty loaf yields easily to this knife, whose serrations are big enough to rate--in knife-speak--as "scallops." Henckels' International Classic is a moderately priced cutlery line made in countries other than the company's home of Germany. The steel is of lesser quality than that used in its premier lines. Also, the handles are narrower and shallower--a feature those with small hands might appreciate. While this bread knife is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. --Fred Brack

This bread knife is inexpensive and amazing. Not only does it slice bread, as advertised, and without smashing down fresh bread right from the oven. I also use it for many other things. This morning I was using it to slice some VERY ripe Beefsteak tomatoes from my garden and they sliced as if they were the tough GMO tomatoes from the supermarket.Well made, good grip, full tang, very satisfied, recommended.Cuts nicely through dense and crusty bread. Well made, comfortable to hold. Good value. Packaging could be minimized, a knife guard would be nice. Pleased with purchase. This knife is an absolute pleasure to use. Slices through bread like butter! First time I was using it I sliced the end of my finger right the %@“# off! Legit! Right off! Knife was so sharp it took several seconds to even realize what I did! Great knife! Buy it! Just, for the love of God, be careful!!!as expected, heavySharp edge, excellent for precision slicing of breads and meats.I got two of these becuase some one ordered one and I ordered one. I guess I have to return one. I have a collection of bread knives. I love making crusty breads and don’t like squishing the bread to cut it. In the last few years I am quite disappointed with quite a few bread knives. This one is the first one I was like this handles the cut so well. It was easy to slice and not a fight the bread. I hope it stays that way unlike some of the reviews I read here. The knife is made in Spain with forged steel is not mass produced elsewhere. This knife is a one-stop shop for all amateur cooking needs. I purchased a very similar knife from Bed Bath and Beyond about 10 years ago for about $25. It was my go-to knife for all prep. Unlike other serrated "bread knives," this one works for all types of slicing because the serrations are not as pointy. It works on all veggies and is often more secure than a chef's knife because it bites into the food quickly. Works on soft tomatoes and never slips. After several years, I started honing the knife (using a serrated-knife sharpener) every several uses and it remained super sharp and effective. Another advantage is that it doesn't tend to cut unless you're using a slicing motion, which can be a protective feature for fingers. For no particular reason I decided to replace the knife (it's still sharp) and they didn't sell the same one, but this is the most similar. Initial experiences are just as good. The one thing you can't do with a slicer is rapidly cut up and down like a pro with a chef's knife, but most amateurs wouldn't risk that anyway. For such a good price, and such longevity, this knife is a best buy.We have this bread knife and are so pleased with it that we bought another as a present for our daughter.Great quality and amazing productAdded to our set of knivesEasy to follow the article
