Definitely non-stick. A little difficult to clean but if you let it soak, all residue will come off. Four stars because paint began to chip after two uses (but not very noticeable).Other than that, bread slides out easily and the pan is a great size.Overall I like these loaf pans, however, the loaves were narrower and taller than I expected, but the bread came out beautifully.Just what I needed for milk bread!The pans were heavily bubble wrapped and carefully boxed - and arrived in perfect condition.I've purchased laptops that were not packed so well.When I used this product, it looked fine. After using it only once, the coating was already scratched on the bottom. Even though I did not scrape with a sponge, I think it was scraped from the oven rack.Recently received these two bread tins (8.5 x 4.5). They are nice looking and clean easily. I have a couple of larger tins made by another company that seem much more substantial than these. Nevertheless, I opted for a less expensive brand this time, so I got what I paid for. That's not a sarcastic remark--just a fact. The jury is out concerning how well they hold up with long-term use. So far so good.With first use is scratched, top coating is coming off. Did not put in the dishwasher, just with a sponge and dishsoap. The inside is all scratched and peeling and is getting worse with each use. The outside bottom is all scratched and looks rusted. Waste of money. Will need to replace.We used these pans to bake sourdough bread one time. The recipe calls for a 435 oven and this has always worked for us. These pans did not stick but the surface took on a botched appearance as if the coating was breaking up. The crust that had been in contact with the pan had an abnormal dark colour. We were concerned that the nonstick coating was decomposing, contaminating the bread. Both the bread and the pans went in the garbage.MmMy wife got these specifically for my hot lunch box. We had been searching for a bit and thought this would work. Seeing as the measurements were perfect for fitting inside we ordered 2 2 packs that way we didn't have to keep using the single use aluminum food containers. But the measurements were for the size of loaf these pans would make, not the true size of the pan itself. She uses glass baking pans and so now these are useless for us. Oh well gift material now.The protective/non stick coating is coming off. When I tried to bake bread black patches of, I'm guessing more coating, were stuck to my bread.I'm very disappointed. I don't leave the pans soaking in water, and I haven't put them in the dishwasher.Don't buy these pansPoor quality.Rusted,part of black coating came off after first time use. Tried to contact seller with poor quality inquiry,no response.
