As I said, in my title, I used these tongs to flip an egg. It was very simple. Hubby said these tongs are too thick to get under and egg to turn it. That may be true for him. He likes easy over eggs. That is not the case with me.It is very sturdy. If there is anything I might not like about it is, it is very heavy and kind of stiff. If a person has arthritis, I would recommend looking for something else that isn't so cumbersome or heavy.It is very easy to clean. A little soap and hot water, set to dry. You're done.I will do an update when I've had it awhile.UPDATE: I fried a sausage patty. Problem is, this does not press one so it is flatter like our other spatula does. I don't want to have to use two different spatulas just to cook one sausage patty. This won't be a deal breaker, but now I have to look for another spatula that will work for cooking easy upside eggs.I thought this item had the means to lock the two pieces together to use as one spatula but it doesn’t. That was my only concern.It will do the job just wish the handle was longer.Muy eleganteI stumbled across a great deal on these, so I grabbed them for my husband when he grills.
